Why Private Tuition?
Many students struggle to engage with STEM subjects due to gaps in understanding, low confidence and a lack of tailored support in educational institutions. Every student is different. Therefore, generic teaching methods employed by schools can make concepts harder to understand, ultimately disengaging students and stunting their understanding. This can also leads to low confidence, as the subjects are considered intimidating. Students who do not thrive in a traditional classroom environment are therefore left behind compared to their peers.

The one-to-one support offered at EmBrace Tutoring allows students to understand their individual learning styles, engage with STEM through deep discussions and relatable examples, and rebuilding confidence.
What happens in the first online lesson?
Diagnostic assessment:
The first lesson will feature a small assessment (50% of the allotted time) to assess the student’s understanding and knowledge. This will not only focus on correct/incorrect answers, but also the approach to answering questions, exam technique, and any other factors.
Mini-tutoring session:
The final 50% of the first lesson will be a chance for the tutor and student to choose some questions from the diagnostic assessment to go over. The student will be able to see how a general session would go, and the tutor will be able to make further inferences regarding the learning style of the student.
